IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT * May 11, 2016
Dear Stephen Decatur Families,
It is my honor and pleasure to write to you as the newly appointed Principal of Stephen Decatur Elementary School. You may know that Mr. Kehrein had taken leave from his role as our Principal. I regret to inform you that he has permanently resigned from this position. I hope you will join our entire school community in wishing Mr. Kehrein well in his future endeavors.
I have truly enjoyed serving as the interim principal this school year. I am excited to continue building relationships with all of our SD families throughout the summer and as the school year progresses. You will find that I thrive on communication and I am always here to support you in any way possible.
I am a firm believer that it takes a village to raise a child. Parents, teachers, support staff, community partners, and administration all play a part in helping our students meet and exceed expectations. I would like to thank you in advance for the role that you play in the success of Stephen Decatur Elementary School.
I feel truly blessed that a hiring committee of SD teachers, families, MSD Decatur administrators and board members selected me to serve as Stephen Decatur Elementary Principal!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns that you may have about this transition. Please keep an eye out for our E-Newsletters announcing exciting meet and greet events. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you as we work together to ensure the success of all our students!
