Have a Great Summer!
Village Elementary Charter News for June
2020-2021 School Year News
Please keep checking the RVUSD website for important information regarding the start up of school for next year. As things keep changing and evolving, we want to keep parents informed. There might be more surveys potentially, as we really want to hear your thoughts on how you are feeling about school reopening up again. Or there might be more information as we know more about what our protocols will be to start up as safely as possible.
Thank You for Charging Up Those Chromes!
Boys and Girls,
I was so excited to have everyone follow instructions and have the chromes all charged up and ready to go. I am so proud that everyone took such good care of the chromes as well. They all came back with no visible damage. Our Village student’s ROCK!
Thank you to all the parents as well. Our amazing computer team will now be able to upload the chromes with faster and newer software to make them work for next year.
Unclaimed Student Bags and Materials
Parents, we have many students who still have bags in the possession of the teacher’s classrooms. As we get ready to deep clean our rooms, we need everything out of the classrooms to shampoo carpets and get ready for next year. We will have one more opportunity this coming Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Cafeteria to pick up these bags. If the bags are not picked up, we will have to discard them so we can clean our school properly. Please email me at cholt@rvusd.org if you have concerns or questions.
Some Great Scenes From Last Week
Thank You All
Parents,
All the Best!

Field Trips & Donations
We had to cancel many field trips due to Coronavirus at the very last minute. We thank everyone for the field trip donations although some field trips didn’t materialize and were canceled abruptly as was the 4th Sacramento Field Trip. I know students, teachers and parents were disappointed in having to cancel the Sacramento Field Trip. It was a hard decision to make but I am happy in hindsight that we did cancel it. All the donations will be deposited and available for the 2020-2021 school year. We appreciate your continued support and donations for field trips. I hope that some of the postponed field trips will be made up somehow and might look different next year as we recover from sheltering in place. Field trips are important to both teachers and students. The field trip donation’s account has a healthy level of funds for next year and it is a great way to start a new year. Thank you to all for being so generous and understanding with your donations.
