Carnival of Puntarenas
A carnival in the center of the town of Puntarenas. In these parades, visitors and tourist come see comparsas (groups of dancers) and mascaradas ( giant painted smiling heads)
Oxcart Parade
This San Jose Parade honors Costa RIca's oxcart and driver and the country's agriculture traditions. Hundreds of colorful ox-drawn carts begin in LamSabana and continue along Paseo Colon and Avenida Seguanda. The end of the parade features folkloric dances and music.
Public Festival of Palmares
The Palmares fiesta begin in the second week of January and continue through the month with a series of events. These include concerts, fireworks, sports activities, tents with food and alcohol, Costa Rican-syled bullfighting and a traditional horse parade.

Tortuguero National Park was established in 1975 and is located in the North Caribbean Cost of Costa RIca. Its a tourist attraction because of its key nesting grounds for endangered sea turtle species.

The Pre-Columbian Gold Museum exhibits an amazing collection of objects made in gold. The collection has 1600 pieces that were worked from 500 AD to 1500 AD
