Come for some or all of the weekend. Your own camping gear is required.
UUFC Campout at the primitive group camp site at Oconee State Park June 9-12
Cost: $3/pp per night (includes swimming fee at the park lake)
This is a favorite activity that UUFC members and friends have enjoyed for many summers during our many years together. RAIN or SHINE!

Come to the Group Camp Site- if we are away at one of the activities listed below, we will leave a note to let you know when we will return. You can go ahead and set up your tent either way.
When: Friday, June 10 after 2:00 through Sunday noon, June 12 or just come for an evening, day, etc.
Things to do at and around the park:

Hike the Oconee Trail Thursday morning, leaving the camp site around 9:00 http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/oconee/oc-trails.aspx
Travel with us to the Walhalla Fish Hatchery to fish and/or hike 9:00 ish Saturday morning (bring fishing gear and license) http://hatcheries.dnr.sc.gov/walhalla/index.html
Saturday evening camp dinner: Cookout and Pot Luck. Bring meat to cook over the campfire; bring dish to share. (Please provide your beverage.)
Sunday morning Vespers before breaking camp
Lake swimming with diving platform at park (included in camping fee)
Canoe, pedal boat, carpet golf available at park $$
Hiking trails, playground, park store/gift shop; geocaching; biking
Travel to Walhalla and continue north for approximately 10 mi. on Hwy 28 after its intersection with Hwy 11. Turn right onto Hwy 107. The park will be 2 miles further on the right.
We will be at the park’s Group Camp Site: bear right as you drive into the park. The Group Camp Site shares a parking lot with the “Barn,” to the right as you enter the camping area of the park.
Your camping gear (tents only are allowed at the Group Camp site)
Food and dishes, etc., for your meals while camping
Camp chairs and bikes
A pot luck dish to share for the Saturday evening meal (and meat that you would like to cook over the campfire and a beverage for yourself)
Cost: $3/per person/per night (payable to Kathy Crain at the park.)
