GES/GJSHS Weekly Newsletter

March 16 - 20

Principal's Message

This week certainly brought many changes, didn't it? I started to list them all out: snowstorm, power outages, school closure, etc. Then I realized that everything I listed I was related to the disruption it has caused to our students, staff, and community.

That's not how I look at life, and it certainly isn't the message I want you to hear. I have many conversations with students, parents, and staff about some of the struggles of life. What I often tell people is that when faced with a difficult situation, I ask myself this question, "Will I choose to let this make me BITTER or BETTER?"

I can tell you with absolute certainty that over the past week, the staff at both GES and GJSHS have decided, "This will make us BETTER!"

We are busy at work (remotely, for some!) and preparing for distance learning to begin next week. Every day brings new opportunities, but we are rising to the challenge! If you haven't heard from your child's teacher yet, you will very soon! Several of them have set up new Google classrooms or class Facebook pages to help students stay in touch. More will be coming on that next week...

Thank you for your continued support and patience. We will continue to keep you updated with Aeries communications and through our Facebook pages.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to us---we miss you!

About Us

Greenville Elementary School and Greenville Junior/Senior High School are in beautiful western Plumas County.
