Biomedical Engineering Discovery Program


Are you between the ages of 13 and 16? Are you interested in science, technology, engineering, or math (STEM)? Do you enjoy building things and working with your hands? Are you interested in taking your budding curiosity to the next level? If yes, then join a Biomedical Engineering Discovery Program on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at UConn Health in Farmington (drop off/pickup at Hospital Entrance).

Guided by current health professions students and educators, and you will explore career pathways into engineering & health professions, including a hands-on exploration of engineering by building a hydraulic arm. In addition, you will learn about BME application in healthcare as well as different health career pathways. The cost of attendance is $59, and each student will be provided with a light breakfast snack, lunch, and a hydraulic arm kit (valued at $30+) to take home.
