New Teacher Academy Meet & Greet Social

Tuesday, Sep. 27th 2016 at 4:30-5:15pm

South Oak Cliff High School Cafeteria

This social is designed specifically for ALL first year and new to SOCH teachers . During this meeting, you will get a chance to meet with our campus leaders, meet your mentor, get all upcoming dates for our monthly New Teacher Academy meetings, expectations for the academy, etc.


We look forward to seeing you. A RSVP is required for ALL first year and new to SOC teachers. Should you have any questions, please contact Ms. Turner at fturner@dallasisd.org. Refreshments will be served.

Upcoming ACT Testing

On Tuesday, September 27, 2016 we will have ACT School Day. The following is a brief overview of how that day will go. I will give you the details and the testing plan in the testing training/meeting.


Testing will take place in the Competition Gymnasium from 9:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Tarp and desks will be placed in the gym the evening prior to testing by 6:00 a.m. on the morning of testing.

On last Wednesday and Thursday, the senior class parent meetings were a huge success! Parents and students visited the campus to hear about all of the exciting things the senior sponsors have planned for them on this school year. From prom attire to scholarships, and pictures for the yearbook, no stone of information was left out The information was thorough and well presented all because of the preparation of our senior sponsors. Mr. King and Ms. Lindsay would like to thank all guest speakers and translators. The entire SOC family would like to thank Mr. King and Ms. Lindsay for a job well done!
