Principal's Perspective
What a week! Our halls were filled with joy, excitement, and great anticipation! Thank you to all the families who helped with parties and special events this week in the classrooms.
We also want to thank our amazing PTO who always shows up right when we need them! We had bagels to start the week, a pizza lunch to end the week, and supporting families in need during the holidays. THANK YOU!
May you all enjoy your break. We'll see everyone back on Tuesday, January 3rd!
In partnership,
Mary Beth Fischer
Circle Up Focus for January 2023
Dear families,
Each month our morning circle up meetings have a focus that supports our students in connecting with their classmates and developing their interpersonal skills. In January we will review our school and classroom procedures as we head into the second part of our school year. We will think about our goals for the 2023 calendar year. We will explore the benefits of using manners to lay the foundation for our very first IMPACT Ambassador Huddle in mid-January!! We cannot WAIT to see what these leaders have been doing with this lifeline! Finally, towards the end of January we will review ways we can be a good sport as we gear up for Global School Play Day on February 1st!!

Lunch Visitors at MGES
We are opening up the opportunity for family members to join their child/children for lunch! For student safety and to accommodate our limited cafeteria seating, we are allowing our families to visit once a trimester. To be prepared for our guests and to check the Safe Visitor Registration of incoming visitors (this is required for every visitor) please make sure you register 24 hours in advance.
We allow 5 visitors per grade level lunch. Please use one slot per person signing up. Due to limited space, visitors will be sitting with their child(ren) at their classroom tables. You have the option of bringing in a home packed lunch or purchasing a lunch at school. No fast food will be allowed at this time. Lunch menus can be found here. The price for an adult lunch is $4.70.

Join the WWS Team!
Westfield Washington Schools is committed to meeting the needs of each student. The best way to accomplish our mission and vision is to ensure that every position in the district is filled with a caring individual dedicated to ensuring each student learns and grows. Being part of a dynamic team, working to ensure each student achieves their full potential is inspiring and energizing. Applying and working as an Instructional Assistant (IA) in one of our schools is an excellent career choice for individuals who would like to make a profound difference in the lives of children. All nine schools currently have open IA positions. We offer full-time and part-time positions. Our IA positions allow parents to work during their students' school schedule - thus eliminating the need for child care - while directly contributing to the success of their student’s school. We operate at optimal levels when we are fully staffed with IAs.
If you are interested in joining our team, please contact your building principal or assistant principal or click here to apply. If you have any questions about these opportunities, please contact Stacy McGuire, Assistant Director of Human Resources, at mcguires@wws.k12.in.us.
