Attention Graduating Seniors

We want to highlight you in a new section of the newsletter called “Class of 2016: How About Those Roos!” We would like to publish a running list of our graduating seniors and the name of your college, university, technical school, or military branch you plan on attending next Fall. Also, we know that scholarship offers are rolling in and we would also like to publish a running list of the total value of college scholarships our seniors have been awarded.

Book Donations Needed

Whiz Quiz Club is looking to establish a small library and would appreciate book donations. Any donations of fiction or nonfiction books in good condition would be appreciated. Please drop off at H205 or leave in my mailbox.

Texas A & M will be holding “Aggieland Saturday” on February 13, 2016

The program is free! Transportation and meals will be provided to and from campus courtesy our DFW PSC in Arlington. The bus will depart at 6am from our DFW PSC located at 3900 Arlington Highlands Boulevard, suite 273, Arlington, TX 76018 and return at 9pm.

Eligibility: High School Junior in the Top 10% of their class. SAT/ACT test scores are preferred but not required.

Boys Power Lifting

The boys power lifting team competed in the Azle Invitational coming away with a convincing win.
The following boys placed 1st in their weight classification; Tin Nguyen, Hayden Ekas, Justin Livingston, Braden Robertson, Jake Bearid and Brandon Edwards.

Maverick Boyle, Jequan Brownlee, and Nick Hale each placed 2nd, While Storm Weidler placed 3rd in their weight classifications. There were many other personal records by many of the boys as well.

This puts the team record at 2-0. The team has next week off to prepare for the Weatherford Invitational held in the Out Back on February 11th. First lift starts at 5:00. All are invited to come out and watch.

Lady Roos move to 24-5, 9-2 in District

With 3 district games left, the Lady Roos remain in second place at 9 wins and 2 losses after Friday night's 45-22 win over Paschal. Vasha Moore lead the way with 14 points.

The Lady Roos have two HUGE home games this upcoming week, with Arlington Martin coming in Tuesday, who is currently one game back at 8 and 3 in 3rd, and then North Crowley comes in Friday night for the Lady Roos final home game of the year.

Take time out to come see both games, each at 6pm. You'll be glad you did, as we say "WELL DONE" to our Seniors of 2016 Maddie Dorris and Kailin Davis, along with managers, Sharita Holder and Tiana Sardinea.
