9th Grade & New Student Orientation

As we approach the 2022-23 school year, we could not be more excited to welcome all incoming 9th grade students, and new students, to the Athena High School Orientation. This will be held on Friday, August 26th at 9:00 am in the Greece Central Performing Arts Center located on the Athena Campus. During orientation, you will have the opportunity to meet the Athena High School administrative team, who will review with you the exciting opportunities available to all Athena High School students. Additionally, you will have a guided tour from current Athena High School student leaders. Lastly, you will pick up your welcome packet including your schedule for the 2022-23 school year. We hope that you are able to make it. If you have questions in advance, please do not hesitate to contact us at 966-4000.

Student packets

Students will be able to pick up their welcome packet with their schedule beginning Friday, 8/26, from 10 am - 12 pm.

Packets will also be available after the 26th in the student's unit office from 7:30 am - 12 pm until the start of school.

Chromebooks for 9th graders

New incoming 9th graders to Athena (students that did not attend a Greece school in grade 8) can pick up a chromebook in the Library the first week of school. All other incoming 9th graders will use their chromebook from 8th grade, unless there is damage or it is not working properly. If a student needs their chromebook replaced, they can bring it to the Library the first week of school, where it will be assessed.

Senior Transfer of Google Data to Personal Account

Knowing that you may want to use some of the wonderful work that you have done during your time here at Greece in your future, Google has provided a way for Seniors to transfer their schoolwork to a personal Google account. You will need to do this because your district accounts will be suspended (you will not be able to log in) on August 15th. You will also have until August 15th to get any of your work that you saved on the district network saved to a USB drive.

There are two ways you can take your data: Add it to a personal Google account OR download it to a USB drive.

Before you begin the process, please remember a personal Google account only has 15GB of free storage- any more than that you will have to pay to upgrade the amount. Your district account has unlimited storage, so make sure you have not exceeded that amount if you do not want to pay. To see how much data you have, you can go to THIS LINK and log into your DISTRICT account.

This process will only transfer to a Google account, so if you do not already have one, it will prompt you to create one. To see how to transfer your district data to a personal Google account you can visit THIS LINK for instructions. If you want to just get started, you can jump to HERE.

This process will allow you to select what Google apps you want to “Take” with you and then allow you to choose if you want it to send a zip file to an email, Google Drive, DropBox, or OneDrive account. You will then have one week from that time to download it to your own device.

Follow the instructions HERE to see how to download your data.

If you have any questions about this process, please email Mr. LaMonica, Mr. Titus and Mr. Lombardo at,, and the GSuite Team at
