Mr. Isang Jacob - Dean's Dialogue
Welcome Class of 2023 and Parents/Guardians/Caregivers!
Happy Tuesday Class of 2023,
Hopefully, you are looking forward to the warm week. Let's make sure we are in school everyday and on time.
Tutoring is after school Monday - Thursday starting this week. This is another way to get the help you need with your classes from content teachers.
Additionally, please sit with your parents/guardians to discuss plans for next school year. We have two options: in person or through the Online Academy. Space is limited at the Warren Online Academy; you have to go through an application process.
We have FOUR weeks of school to go and it is very important to stay on task to finish strong.
WEARING YOUR MASK AT ALL TIMES IS STILL REQUIRED WHILE IN SCHOOL. Please follow the CDC Guidelines/Safety Protocols put in place for the safety of everyone.
Follow the pointed arrows in the hallways while in the building walking to your assigned destinations in a timely manner.
ALL individuals in the building are REQUIRED to have a MASK on at ALL times.
Help keep everyone SAFE.
Starting Monday May 3 - May 25, we will have Tutoring on Mondays - Thursdays to finish the school year strong.
Super Saturday is back for the next three weeks starting 5/1, 5/8, 5/15. We are looking forward to see you from 10:00am - 12:00pm

COVID-19 Vaccination Update
From: Indiana Department of Health <isdh@subscriptions.in.gov>
Date: Wed, Mar 24, 2021 at 5:09 PM
Subject: Important vaccination information for teens
To: <thanson@warren.k12.in.us>
March 24, 2021
Dear Superintendent:
Anyone age 16 and older will be eligible for COVID-19 vaccination in Indiana starting March 31.
Please see the attached information to share with your high school students and their parents. It has important information about how to register for vaccination. Of particular note is the fact that students younger than 18 years old must make an appointment at a site that offers the Pfizer vaccine, as it is the only shot authorized for 16- and 17-year-olds.
Thank you for your help in sharing this vital information with your students and families.
Sincerely,
Kristina Box, MD, FACOG
State Health Commissioner
Summer camps with MICI-AHEC at the University of Indianapolis
Good Morning,
My name is Monique Kerr and I am the program coordinator for the Metropolitan Indianapolis Central Indiana Area Health Education Center(MICI-AHEC) at the University of Indianapolis. We have recently received the green light to have in-person camps at UIndy. Yay!!! With this being said we still have to create a safe environment for all. Our in-person camps will only allow 20 participants this summer.
We would love to have your students participate. If you could add us to your newsletters and announcements we would greatly appreciate it.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I look forward to having your students in camp this summer!

May 5, 2021 Message from Dr. Tim Hanson - Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township
May 5, 2021
Good afternoon Warren Students, Families, and Staff, this is Dr. Tim Hanson, Superintendent of Schools for MSD Warren Township with a few important announcements.
I want to express my sincere gratitude and appreciation to our Warren employees during this staff appreciation week. They have risen to every challenge and have done their best to meet the needs of our students' academic and social needs. This year would not be possible without them.
In addition to students being in-person 5 days a week for next school year, families can apply K-8 Virtual or 9-12 Online. Applications for the 21-22 school year are now available at the links below and will be included in our school newsletters and on our website, warren.k12.in.us. Please note there will be a limited capacity for the amount of students that will be enrolled in each program.

For those families interested in summer school for grades 6-8, parents and caregivers are encouraged to register at bit.ly//msdwarrensummer2021. If your child’s grade level is not listed, please contact your child’s school to be placed on the waiting list. There is no charge for summer school and transportation, as well as breakfast and lunch will be provided.
As we head into the final few weeks of this school year, I encourage all of our students to continue to attend in person and virtually. Everything we do at the end of this year is a foundation for next school year.
Happy Cinco de Mayo and thank you for your continued investment in Warren students and schools.
May 2, 2021 Message from Mr. Rich Shepler - Principal
Good evening this is Rich Shepler, principal of Warren Central High School.
We will be offering two distinct options for your child’s needs for the 2021-2022 school year. Option one will allow your child to be in person, or you may choose option two with our Warren Online Academy. The Warren Online Academy will be majority asynchronous. Meaning students will be required to complete work independently without daily live instruction from a teacher.
The Warren Online Academy is by application only and will have a limited number of students enrolled.
As a part of the new process, parents/caregivers will be required to submit an application if they would like their child to participate in the 9-12 online model. Please find the application links for the 21-22 school year in this message.

Some junior students have been selected to take the ASVAB on Thursday, May 6th, in order to try and meet a graduation pathway as part of Indiana's graduation requirements. All students taking the test should check their email for details on where they are to report next Thursday morning. If there are any questions or concerns, please reach out to your school counselor.
Senior families, please be reminded that seniors must complete all graduation requirements in order to participate in the graduation ceremonies taking place on June 3rd and 4th in our Performing Arts Center.
This week, May 3-7th is National Teacher Appreciation Week. Help us celebrate our teachers by sharing messages of support with any staff that has positively impacted you or your family.
Thank you so much for your time and have a great evening.
