Resurrection-St. Paul School
Encounter Christ's Presence - Year of the Eucharist
September 19th, 2021
Dear RSPS Families,
Thank you to all who were able to make it to the Back-to-School Nights over the past few weeks. It was great to see so many of you here to meet the teachers and get a peak into the daily life of your child(ren).
You may have noticed that we are trying to streamline our communication this year. We are conscientious of the fact that you are busy, your email is full, and searching for old emails generally leads to frustration and something missed. This weekly newsletter will contain all of the information you need in order to remain connected and abreast of what is going on here at RSPS for the coming week with a look into the next week. Please use this, in conjunction with the school calendar on our website, to find important school updates, volunteer opportunities, announcements and more. If you ever have a question, we encourage you to call the school.
As we enter into week 4 and approach the beginning of fall, we are noticing some inconsistencies with uniforms and the dress code. For example, students wearing non-uniform sweatshirts, nail polish, make-up, and jewelry to name a few.
In a day and age where there is already so much pressure on students, our uniform policy serves to remove the pressure to keep up with the latest and most expensive trends, helps promote an environment of academic achievement through professional dress, and most importantly, helps ensure that we promote our identity as a Catholic school through our outward appearance. We know these can be silly battles at home with your children, but we truly appreciate you reviewing the policies with your children(link below) and your help and cooperation with this.
Finally, please read the important COVID Update letter below from Superintendent, Dr. Hargens, and Chancellor, Mr. Sellinger.
Sincerely,
Ryan Hellem
Principal
