LIS Tiger Talk

Principal's Update
Tiger Families,
Our Tigers kicked off a great week with some awesome Halloween Costumes. Thanks to all who dressed up and donated to our Kindness Projects.
Our Runner's Club participated in their Halloween Fun Run where volunteers gave out treats along their route. A BIG thanks to those who volunteered their time and donated candy/items. Thanks to Mrs. Cappelletty, Mrs. Sowers and Mrs. Renock for their hard work with Runner's Club.
Lastly, thanks to all the families who came in for conferences. We appreciate your support and collaboration.
Have a great weekend! Go Tigers!

Families In Transitions Group
Starting in November, Robin Purdin, LIS School Counselor will be offering a series of small groups called FIT (Families in Transition) that will be available to Loveland Intermediate School students who are facing or have faced transitions in their home lives. Transitions include divorce/separation, or death of an immediate family member. Often, children in these situations believe they are the only ones experiencing the resulting changes. Small groups allow participants to realize they are not alone and that there are other students in the school navigating the very same issues.
FIT groups will be limited to 8 members and will meet one time a week for 6 weeks. Groups will be formed based on type of transition. If interested, please fill out the permission form-LIS Families In Transitions Permission Form

A special shoutout to Northeast Orthodontic Specialists for being our first community
business partner! We appreciate your support of our One and Done fundraiser!
The annual Pass It On Food Drive is underway. Each year students in Loveland City Schools rally together to support friends in our community. This food drive helps to stock the shelves and create food baskets at the Loveland LIFE food pantry. Check in with your kids to see what their class is collecting.
Did you know that you can select the MINT PTSA as your Kroger community rewards or Amazon Smile charity of choice? Directions here. The Amazon app can now work to support Amazon Smile. Be sure to click the Amazon Smile toggle in the app.
In our ongoing effort to support mental health and wellbeing we want to share a blog post from Cincinnati Children’s hospital on the Warning Signs of Suicide and Ways to Get Help.
