Once a month we set up spirit night fundraisers at local restaurants. These restaurants donate a portion of their sales that day to the Orchestra. Its a win-win-win, you get a great meal, and don't have to cook, our program supports a local business, and in-turn that local business supports our program.

Our first spirit night is at MOD Pizza in the Indian Springs Shopping Center on August 31st. Please see the details below.

Orchestral Excursions

Big picture
Throughout the year, students will have the opportunity to attend performances, and special events. None of these activities are required and many are limited in the number of students we can take.

We will have trips to the opera, the symphony, and 6 Flags in San Antonio this semester.

We encourage students and families to take advantage of these opportunities.

Booster Club Up-Date

Dear Orchestra Parents,

On behalf of the TWHS/McCJHS Orchestra Booster Club, we would like to welcome all new and returning orchestra members and we look forward to the 2022-23 school year. We are so fortunate to have Mr. Michaelson and Mr. Ponce who are dedicated to each and every orchestra student and the program as a whole. They are tirelessly planning and preparing to give each student the best orchestral education and provide parents and family a first class concert experience. Your support will give your student the best music education experience.

As part of your child’s activity fee, you are automatically a member of the booster club. This fee covers most of the items for day to day, but the Booster Club raises money to cover additional banquet costs, technology needs, and our senior scholarships! We were thrilled to be able to offer four students a $1000 scholarship last year and hope we’ll be able to do the same this year. Your generosity counts.

We are getting ready to launch our updated Sponsorship program for the 2023 calendar year, but if you’re ready to get on board we would be glad to take new sponsorships! Please see the current information at Your business or family name will be listed on our social media sites and concert programs. If you know of a business that might be interested in sponsorship, please contact us. We are a 501c3 organization and donations are tax deductible.

Due to the district policy on front doors being locked at all times, we will be asking for many more volunteers this year. Please keep this in mind when we send out concert information and sign up sheets for volunteers. We will need help with handing out dresses, decorating for concerts, opening doors for concerts, helping direct students from feeder schools, as well as hosting Solo & Ensemble for our Region. If you are interested in a particular area, please feel free to reach out to me directly.
