Go E-A-G-L-E-S!

Wear your green or your Eagles-gear tomorrow to show your support for our Birds!

Spelling Bee

It was a spelling bee to beat all spelling bees! Last Friday afternoon, sixteen of our finest spellers lined up in traditional spelling-bee style. After just a few rounds, anyone could tell that the competition was going to BEE tough! After an hour, we still had four amazing spellers that refused to be eliminated. We had to dismiss the audience while we kept on challenging Pranet, Simi, Anna, and Damian. Amazingly, they would not miss a letter! So, we announced that we would continue the challenge on Monday. When we returned for the continuation, we went rogue using off-study-list words! The fab four spellers' competitiveness and spelling-bee-toughness were still intense. Finally, we were able to announce a winner and a runner-up. Congratulations to Pranet, our Warwick Spelling Bee Champion, and Simi, our runner up.

Student Council is bringing the new idea of the SPEAK UP BOX to Warwick. The SPEAK UP BOX is a shoe box located in the Atrium that allows students to share any ideas or feedback that you have. If you are shy about your ideas this is a great chance to let your idea be heard. Remember to be positive! At the end of every month, Student Council will take the SPEAK UP BOX and look over all the slips. If we come across an ongoing request or great idea we will work with Mrs. Sleicher and Mrs. Leatherbarow and try to make your requests a reality. So, speak up, speak out, help our school, and let Warwick hear your voice!

Pretzel Award Day - Monsters, Inc Activity

On January 17, we will have our Pretzel Award Day for all students who participated in the Monster's Inc Activity before the Winter Break!

Dressing Appropriately for Winter Weather

When preparing for school, please make sure your children are appropriately dressed for the weather. We still go outside for recess in the winter unless the temperature and wind-chill are unhealthy or unsafe. (This is even true on spirit days when students might wear pjs.) Students should wear warm pants, coats, hats, and gloves for outside play each day. Please contact the nurse, Mrs. Shawn Pecoraio, if there are specific considerations or concerns for your child. Thank you!
