Creepy Juice with the Principal and VP- THIS FRIDAY!
This FRIDAY, please join Ms. Kim and I for Creepy Juice with Admin. Remind your adult, put on your costume (or not), make your creepy juice, and log on to our Zoom link for some fun time.
2:30-3:00 pm TK-2nd grades-Scavenger hunt, read aloud story, Thriller dance
3:00-3:30 pm 3rd-5th grades-Thriller dance, read aloud, Spirit Days survey
We expect students to follow the 4 Be's. Appropriate costumes are welcome. No weapons on display. Students may also wear their Dance-a-Thon shirt for the Thriller dance. Zoom link will be shared on Thursday, Oct.29th.
Make Trick or Treat Punch
Ingredients
- Ice
- Equal amounts of 3 colorful beverages with various sugar amounts
- Kool-aid, Gatorade and G2 or another sugar free/low sugar drink are great options
Instructions
Fill each glass, cup or bottle or your drink container to the very top with ice.
Read each of your labels to see which drink has the highest sugar content, this will go in the glass first. Tip the glass/container to the side and slowly pour your first layer until your glass is ⅓ full.
Choose your second highest sugar content and pour very slowly ensuring you are pouring over an ice cube to avoid mixing. Fill to ⅔ full.
Repeat with your remaining layer.
Serve and enjoy!
Calling All READERS for the RB Star Read-a-Thon....
Ready! Set! Read!
Beginning on November 16th, our RB Stars will engage in our 20/21 Read-a-Thon fundraiser. Sponsored by our PTA, this annual fundraiser will directly support our students and classrooms. More importantly, it encourages the gift of literacy.
Mark your calendars and get ready to get your read on. Flyer, details of RAT, and more information is to come in the next week. Please response to PTA survey sent out on Friday (PTA SURVEY here ). PTA needs your help and support! We appreciate your participation!

October Awards Hooray! The time has come (again) to celebrate our hard work with ToolBox, the 4Be's, and our monthly Life Skill. Next week (11/6/20) many Ruby Stars will receive certificates and acknowledgements in the above areas. AUSD offers free or reduced-price meals to students whose families are low income. Under this program, which is subsidized by the National School Lunch program, students can receive breakfast for 30 cents (or free) and lunch for 40 cents (or free), depending on their family's income level. Information about which students participate in this program and their family's income is strictly confidential.
Your children also may qualify for free or reduced-price meals if:
- Your family receives Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
- Your family receives Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
- Your family is homeless or has migrant workers or your child is a runaway
- Your child is enrolled in an eligible Head Start, Even Start or pre-kindergarten class
- Your child is a foster child
