Hawk Happenings: Sept. 20th
Holy Rosary Regional School/Juan Diego Academy Community
Message from the Principal - Sept. 20, 2017
Thank you so much to all the parents who were able to make it to last night's Back to School Night. It was great seeing all of you and being able to introduce the teachers, hear from the Parent Service Club, and give an update on the construction project, as well as have everyone visit their child(ren)'s teachers. Remember, you get to claim 2 volunteer hours for each parent who attended last night! If you weren't able to make it, don't worry. The teachers will send home any pertinent information and will be keeping you informed every week with their newsletters. As always, feel free to check in any time that you have questions about curriculum, routines, or anything else at the school.
Have a wonderful week.
P.S. We will NOT be sending home Communication Envelopes today since we only have digital information to go home this week.
- Thursday, Sept. 21st - Spirit/Seahawks Gear

Do I Need to Pay the Bill on My Statement?
What do I Need to do to Volunteer at the School?
- Go online to Virtusonline.org to create an account
- Register for a local safe environment class
- Read and acknowledge policy documents
- Complete the steps for a background check to be performed.
We suggest you set up your account using a desktop computer or laptop, rather than cell phone or tablet computer, as the Virtus system seems to work best in this manner. An in-person/live safe environment class, called "Protecting God's Children for Adults", is initially required, but thereafter, renewals can be completed online once every three years.
Thank you for your cooperation with this process and for your commitment in keeping our school safe and healthy for our children. Please feel free to contact Colleen Thomson at firstname.lastname@example.org or 253-389-9606if any questions regarding this process or if you have other concerns regarding volunteering, whether you be a new volunteer or are a returning volunteer. We value all of our volunteers!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
Friday, Sep. 15th, 2pm to Thursday, Oct. 12th, 3pm
504 South 30th Street
Don't forget to SELL, SELL, SELL that chocolate. We will have prizes for the top 3 sellers in the school:
1st Place - Drone
2nd Place - Wild Waves Pass
3rd Place - Movie Tickets
Each box of chocolate is valued at $60 and each family is responsible for selling at least $100 for the fall fundraiser. If you only have one child at the school, you will either need to sell two boxes or sell one box and pay the remaining $40. If you would like more boxes to sell, please just send an email to Berenice at email@example.com or send a note in to the office.
Thank you to Leianna Perkins-Muse for running this major fundraiser and to Shanan O'Driscoll Hedges for your assistance!
