3rd Grade
Newsletter for March 1, 2018
From the teacher's pen
Thank you for returning your conference slips so quickly. I look forward to meeting with you and setting goals for your child's continued growth in 3rd grade and suggestions to help him or her prepare for 4th grade.
I was out sick today and just heard that the Thursday Envelopes were not sent home. I am planning on feeling better tomorrow :) so look for them tomorrow.
Stations of the Cross on Mondays
If you have never participated in our modified Stations of the Cross on Mondays, please join us at 8:30am. Each week a different class does the readings for four of the Stations. The final Monday, the 2nd and 3rd graders will lead us in all of the Stations.
Thank You Pioneer Farm Volunteers
I am pleased to announce the following parents have volunteered to spend the day with us at the farm and take good care of us: Heather Kapust, Maria Eulalia Matute, Colleen King, Ray Outlaw, Mark Fleischer, Jason McGill, and Matt DeBord. This is the most parents I have ever taken, but perhaps additional drivers won't be needed to drop us off and pick us up. These parents will now plan dinner and break up the chores that must be done at the farm to support the students.
Beauty and The Beast
A group of middle school students under the direction of Mrs. Peterson will perform the play, Beauty and The Beast. The 30 minute play will be performed twice on March 9th - at 10:15am and at 6:00pm in the school gym. This would be a great evening outing for your family!
Upcoming Events:
- Lenten Mass - Tomorrow, March 3, @ 9 am.
- Stations of the Cross (modified) - Monday, March 5 @ 8:30 am.
- End of Trimester 2 - Noon Dismissal - Friday, March 9.
