The Cougar Connection

A Corporation Wide Newsletter

*From Mr. Gaff's Desk*

I hope everyone had a relaxing Spring Break. We are now on the home stretch. With only 5 weeks of school remaining, this can be a difficult and stressful time for both teachers and students; please keep this in mind. Find ways to maintain interest while varying instructional methods. If you are getting bored with it, there is a good chance the students are as well. Don’t hesitate to utilize outdoor instructional space as a little fresh air can be helpful to all of us.

Thanks for all the great things that you have done this year. I want to challenge you to watch a TED talk a week for the remainder of the school year. If you have not used TED talks in the past, you will quickly find that it is a very valuable resource. TED consists of millions of short (typically 25 min or less) video clips of speakers on all topics. Here are a couple that were shared with me this week. I often utilize theses clips to keep me motivated to move forward.

Thanks for all you do for Central Noble. Enjoy your three-day holiday weekend.

*Special Recognition*

A special shout out goes to:

**Cindy Scheiber. Cindy teaches ED students ranging from grades 1-5 at Wolf Lake Elementary. On any given day, Cindy and her Assistants can be found working as teacher, counselor, mom and referee! Cindy handles very tough situations with calmness and grace and always has the students best interest at the forefront of her decisions. Cindy does a phenomenal job getting her students ready to move to the next grade level. We are lucky to have her at Wolf Lake Elementary!

**Michelle Thiele. If we test it, Michelle knows about it. She spends endless hours setting up tests, training teachers on testing ethics and running around on test day making sure everything runs smoothly. She does this for ISTEP, ECA, NWEA, PSAT, iRead and AP. With ISTEP starting next week, let's give Michelle a HUGE THANK YOU!!

**Kelly Behm, Megan Lottie & Diane Perlich. These ladies are the dream team at the Jr/Sr High. This time of year the office gets crazy and we couldn't do it without them!

~Kelly. The guidance department is in Scholarship season, on top of preparing for Senior awards night and Graduations. Kelly does a great job of getting it all organized while still doing her everyday job of answering to just about everyone in the school.

~Megan & Diane. You ladies wear MULTIPLE hats each and every day. Each morning Megan handles and sorts out substitutes while Diane is dealing with attendance. On top of that, both are fielding calls from parents and talking with students who question everything from fields trips, to vocational school.

Thank you ladies for all you do! We couldn't do it without you!

**Shawn Hoover, Dan Parks & Loree Sprague. Thank you all for taking time out of your spring break to provide students a once in a lifetime opportunity in Washington D.C.

*Marketing Events*
