The Google Doc links can be used to guide students through independent study projects. They can also be used for ongoing projects based on student interest or specifically assigned research. Young students will need some guidance - maybe a volunteer? There are two versions - primary and intermediate. Click below for the Google Doc versions:

Using the News for Research
Headed to the computer lab? Are students finished with their work? They can use these websites to browse for research ideas or just complete the news response sheets Reporting the News Intermediate, Reporting the News Primary. Each website contains engaging, current news articles written just for kids. Many of the sites provide articles written at multiple Lexile levels.
