Tk/Kindergarten Reminders
Thank you to all our Tk/Kinder Parents for their patience during Tk/Kinder Dismissal. Our Rancho Staff works hard to ensure student's are handed off to their parent/guardian/sitter. Please know that our staff may dismiss from different parts of the line during Early Bird dismissal. Please discuss the pick up routine with your child so they are learning how to identify who is picking them up. Beginning this week during Late Bird Arrival, only the late bird students will be permitted through the front gate upon arrival. Late Bird Parents will not be permitted through the gate. Please know that students transition more easily when parents are not in sight. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our students are learning Tk/kindergarten routines.

TVUSD Physical Education Specialist August 2019
Hello Rancho Friends and Families! My name is Ryan Fagan and I will be your child’s Physical Education Teacher this school year. I am excited to be working with the fabulous students and staff at Rancho Elementary! TVUSD is excited to continue their standards based Physical Education program for our 1st through 5th grade students. During the Fall semester, your child will receive P.E. instruction from a certificated Physical Education Specialist twice a week for a 50-minute class period.
Your child’s P.E. day with me will be the same day each week, and by the end of the first full week of school, your child should be able to tell you what day that is. On P.E. days, please be sure your child is dressed in comfortable clothing that will allow them to move freely (shorts, T-shirts during the warmer months, sweats during the cold months), including good tennis shoes that will provide support and protection for your child’s feet. They can also wear a visor or baseball cap, as well as sunglasses to protect their eyes and face from the sun. For your child’s safety and comfort, if possible, please refrain from having them wear dresses, skirts, boots, heels, or sandals on P.E. days. I also highly encourage that students bring a water bottle to class to allow them easy access to water whenever they may need it and eliminate having to miss P.E. time while waiting in line at the water fountain.
Our Positive Behavior Expectations will be discussed the first couple of weeks of the semester, and are as follows:
~ Come Prepared
o Wear comfortable, weather appropriate clothing o Wear athletic type, closed-toe shoes o Use restroom before school, during recess, or during lunch o Bring a water bottle o Participate and have fun!
~Be Attentive
o Walk to P.E. area silently and sit down in assigned groups o Wait for directions before using the equipment o Listen and follow directions
~ Be Respectful
o Treat equipment as directed and in a safe manner o Include and encourage everyone
Your child will be exposed to a wide variety of physical activities, all created specifically for maximum participation, movement, enjoyment, and learning. If your child is ill or injured on his or her P.E. day, and cannot participate in the activity, or portions of the activity, please send a parent or Doctor’s note with your child. Thank You!
Sincerely, Ryan Fagan
