SMART Goals - Academic
M - I am planning to get a mark of 85% or higher in my grade 11 math class. For me to keep track of how well I am doing, I wan to start asking my teacher on how how I am doing and what I need to improve on. If my teacher is unable to give me feedback then I will look back at all the work I did and what was marked so then I get an rough estimate on how will I am doing. I want to get at least a 85% or higher because then I do not have to worry about my math mark when I go to post-secondary school.
A - In order for myself to reach this goal , these are something's that I think will help me:
- Ask teacher for extra help
- Review previous tests
- Do all homework required and look for extra questions online
- spend 2-3 hours on homework and extra studying
Also to ensure that I get a 85% or higher in grade 11 math. I will make sure that before handing in any work I triple if the answer I get is correct or not and if there are any mistakes I will understand where I messed up and try to fix the answer the best I can to my ability. If I do make a mistake and I do not understand where the mistake happened. An great example is after the teacher marked the test and we get the test back and the teacher says to go over the test and fix your mistakes and I do not think I have any, I would still go to the teacher and ask what part I had struggled on and what can I do so this mistakes never happens again. My weakness are that I get very distracted when I sit by my friends.
R - I will make sure in order for me to achieve my goal of getting an 85% or higher in grade 11 math, I will need to work hard for it . I will do extra work and ask for help when needed. Currently I am getting a mark of 75% in math so I believe it would be realistic to say that I want to get a mark of 85% or above by then end of the semester.
T - I want to achieve this goal by the end of the semester.
SMART Goals - Volunteering
M - For me to get 200 hours higher than what is required by the end of grade 12, I will keep track of how many hours I am getting done each week or even day. Something I want to start is, getting a small book to keep track of how many hours I have completed. If in any case I forget to write down how many hours I have completed I will write a notification in my phone or actually use my phone to keep track of my hours. For me to keep up with my hours completed I will calculate each day I did complete hours. Also I would buy a mini calendar so I know which days I am going to get hours done and how many I want completed in that day.
A - In order for myself to reach this goal, these are something's that I think will help me:
- Ask one of my family members to help keep track of hours completed
- Review previous hours completed
- Do all the hours which required first and then start doing the rest of my 200 plus hours - Get at least 4 - 5 hours done a day
R - I will make sure in order for me to achieve my goal of completing 200 hours more than what is required, I will need to hard for it. I will do extra hours done in a day if I need to completed my goal of 200 plus hors than what is required. Currently I have around 100 hours completed. So I believe it would be realistic to say that I want 200 more hours that what is required and I want it done by the end of grade 12.
T - I want to achieve this goal by the end of the grade 12.

Challenges and Solutions
Working Conditions
Working conditions can vary for each and every type of engineers. For most engineers the work conditions are extremely dangerous and hazardous and for others very clam and hardly dangerous and hazardous, Though this depends on what type of engineering you are doing. For an electrical engineer that working conditions are usually dangerous and hazards and can even end in a result of death. Electrical engineer sometimes work with 120 volts for electricity and one wrong connection can end up with the building on fire. When working with electricity some engineers forget to wear the basic safety equipment such as safety glasses, rubber shoes, rubber gloves.
Electrical Arcs & shocks
The number one reason why electrical engineers leave there jobs are electrical shocks. What are electric shocks, electric shocks are a discharge of electricity through a part of the body. Electrical engineers usually get electric shocks when they do not properly ground the wires, which result in electric shocks. When these engineers cut wires with the power on, it causes and electric arcs, when electric arcs are crated then the engineer closer to the arc has a minimal chance of surviving. A solution to this problem is to get better trading in they different ways of safety on the job sites. For example if there is a new person on the job site and he doesn’t know what to do you can take the time to help him out, also if he is having trouble with the wires and connects the wrong wires it can cause and serious injury to a co-worker or even you. Another solution is to make sure that before you work with electricity you have the power and make sure your hands are dry.
