Updates in the Eagle Hub!
Mobile Sensory Station
A new special education teacher, Maria Brandenburg, explored the option of a mobile sensory unit for her classrooms. In her response to the request for information, Maria received word from the organization that they would be donating a mobile sensory station to our school free of charge. The unit can be purchased for a cost of $2,000. The organization, Kulture City, works to make safe spaces inclusive for children with special needs, especially children with Autism. https://www.kulturecity.org/
Mobile Sensory Unit to Calm & Support
Our [Kulture City's] mobile sensory station, M.S.S for short is designed to bring a mobile sensory experience to any space that lacks a physical space for a dedicated sensory room. From classrooms to medical exam rooms, our M.S.S ensures that all guests can feel comfortable.
A Calm Space
See the video at this link (https://youtu.be/_A69nXzNgVM) to see it in action. The lights, sounds, and bubbles are calming for many students who need time to reset their bodies and minds!
In response to a need for increased privacy for our students in the Eagle Hub, our talented maintenance team was able to erect a professional and effective solution with a curtain!
