FINE ART COLLEGE EXPERIENCE 2013

EXPERIMENT WITH ART MATERIALS, BE DARING! BE ORIGINAL!

This unusual Fine Art Camp is offered by Kingwood Montessori Co-Director and Artist in Residence Kate Broughton. Each week’s program is accumulative but can be taken independently. The camp is designed for 9 to 19 year old students who have a strong talent, passion and interest in pursuing a rigorous UK Art College Curriculum. Students should be able to work independently and concentrate for long periods of time.

DATES - COST - TIME

Dates - June 10-14, June 17-21, June 24-28, July 22-26, July 29/Aug 2, 2013

Cost - $275 per student per week, which includes a hardback sketchbook and all required materials

Time - 9:00am-3:00pm. Students should wear old clothes and bring snacks, drinks and a packed lunch. Work will be exhibited at the end of each week, before it is taken home.

Reconnect with your inner artist!

During this course students will develop their drawing, painting and creative personal styles supported by the History of Art. They will study a broad spectrum of artistic genres and techniques using a sketchbook and photography to develop original ideas.

Kate Broughton - Co-Director Kingwood Montessori - Artist in Residence

Kate Broughton has been an artist and art teacher for 30+ years and has been an examiner for a London University Examinations Board for Art at High School Level (Now Pearson). She has also moderated for the Texas Visual Art Scholastic Event (VASE) Competition.
