MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Dear CMS Families,
We had a LOVELY week at CMS. Our week was capped off with PTO sponsored Valentine's Day parties. A big THANK YOU to everyone who donated party items and to all the volunteers for coordinating games/activities and brining the energy.
SAFETY DRILL
The safety and security of our students and staff are our top priorities, and conducting regular drills is an essential part of our commitment to maintaining a safe learning environment. I wanted to inform you about an upcoming practice lockdown drill scheduled for February 21. During the drill, students and staff will follow established lockdown procedures. This includes securing classrooms, remaining quiet, and awaiting further instructions. Chardon police offers as well as our SRO will assist with the drill.
Enjoy your extended weekend.
Mr. Tomco
SLEEP IN HEAVENLY PEACE
We fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs. When it was brought to our attention that the need for beds went far beyond our own neighborhoods, we stepped up and took initiative. We’re a national organization answering the call to a national problem.
All children deserve a safe, comfortable place to lay their heads. In Idaho and across the U.S., too many boys and girls go without a bed – or even a pillow – to sleep on. These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors. This can affect their happiness and health.
That’s where Sleep in Heavenly Peace comes in. We’re a group of volunteers dedicated to building, assembling and delivering top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. Our organization has grown steadily over time, and we’re working on opening more chapters in different states to serve more people. NO KID SLEEPS ON THE FLOOR IN OUR TOWN!®.
CMS WILL HAVE A FUNDRAISER THIS WEEK:
Bring in money during your lunch period. Kindness Club will be staffing a collection table in the cafeteria.
You will use your dollars to “vote” for your desired grade level reward: EXTRA RECESS or FREE ADVISORY.
If your grade level hits $250 raised, you will earn whichever reward has the most money.
