Howlabration Information
In January we will host our Howlabration event to recognize the achievements of our middle school and high school students, including Straight A Honor Roll and A/B Honor Roll for Semester 1. Please note the Pasco County School District policy regarding eSchool, FLVS, and dual enrollment course grades in regard to Honor Roll:
“All grades posted for the semester will be used in the honor roll calculation. Students enrolled in one or more courses through Pasco eSchool, FLVS or dual enrollment may be eligible for honor roll recognition provided that grades are received and entered into myStudent by the time report cards are issued for brick and mortar courses. Students must have at least six (6) grades or a number of grades equivalent to three (3) credits posted for the current semester to be eligible for the semester honor roll designation.”
Please complete Semester 1 of your eSchool, FLVS, and dual enrollment courses prior to the end of the 1st semester to be considered for Honor Roll Recognition. More information on the Howlabration event will be provided next quarter.
Gallup Poll Information
On Friday, October 11, all Middle School students had the opportunity to have their voice heard by participating in the annually administered Gallup Poll. High school students get their chance to participate on Tuesday, October 15th. Parents, please encourage your student to participate anonymously in the Gallup Poll which measures and provides actionable data on four dimensions of student success: Engagement, Hope, Entrepreneurial Aspiration, and Career/Financial Literacy. Any student that is absent on the day of the poll will be provided the opportunity to participate when they return to school.
See below for an informational letter from the office of Mr. Kurt Browning.
PSAT - National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test
All sophomores will participate for free in the PSAT-National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test on Wednesday, 10/30. This is an extremely important exam for our students as it provides access to the National Merit Scholarship program and many other scholarship opportunities.
In addition, the PSAT serves as a concordant score to the Algebra 1 EOC for any student that has not passed the FSA Algebra 1 EOC.
Freshmen or juniors that want to register should see Mrs. Larimore or Mr. Copeland in the Media Center. Cost is $23 ($5 for students who qualify for free-reduced lunch). Seniors are not eligible to take the PSAT.
FSA/EOC Individual Score Report Request
Individual Score Reports for all Florida Standards Assessments (FSA) and End of Course (EOC) assessments are now available. Parents/guardians may request a copy of their student’s FSA and/or EOC Individual Score Report to be delivered in one of four options:
- Have a copy mailed to the address listed in myStudent
- Parent/guardian may pick up a printed copy in the Main Office
- Printed copy sent home with the student
- Email a PDF copy to the parent/guardian email address listed in myStudent
