Picture packets and student id's

We had hoped to be able to distribute picture packets and student id's to students this week but we had some unexpected issues come up. It is our hope that we will be able to distribute packets and id's one day next week.

Colleges Visiting OSHS

Colleges from around the area and from around the country are excited to visit with Falcon students during the lunch period. Students, please feel free to stop by and visit with the following colleges during your lunch period. If you miss any of these visits, please stop by Mr. Wynn’s office to get more information.

  • NEW THIS YEAR - Powderpuff and Luau are ticketed events. Tickets are $1.00 at the gate and students must show a current student ID or Studentvue Account

Crowning of the King/Queen at halftime of the football game


Saturday (9/24)

Homecoming Dance (8-11pm) - $15 per ticket available through Hometown Ticketing - tickets WILL NOT be available at the door.

Suicide Prevention Week at Olathe South

We will be observing Suicide Prevention Week at Olathe South the week of September 26-30. We will have a table setup in the commons every day at lunch with activities to promote suicide awareness and prevention.


Monday - Journaling for mental health benefits

Tuesday - Ways to help you destress

Wednesday - Sharing positive affirmations

Thursday - Plan for a great future

Friday - Copecakes, exchange a coping skill for a cupcake

FAFSA Completion Night

Attention Falcon Seniors and Families! Please join us on October 5th for our FAFSA Completion night. You’ll have the opportunity to connect with 10 Financial Aid experts who can help assist you in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid right here at Olathe South. There are 3 sessions you can register for (5:00-5:45 PM, 6:00-6:45 PM, and 7:00-7:45 PM). Parent Teacher Conferences

Fall conferences will be held 10/10 through 10/13. October 10, 11 and 13 are individual conferences scheduled with a particular teacher. Wednesday, October 12, conferences will be held in the South gym, Falcons Nest and Commons. No appointment needed for October 12.

AP Registration and Schedule

AP Exam registration is open and the deadline to register is November 1. Students can register for exams through their College Board account and pay for them by using In Touch. See the flier below for more information. Please contact Ms. LeGrand in the Counseling Office if you have questions.

The attendance office is a 24 hour voicemail line. Please include the following information in your voicemail.

  • Spell your student’s first and last name
  • Grade
  • Your name and relationship to student
  • Phone number where you can be reached
  • Reason for their absence/leaving

When picking up your student, you do not need to come up to the school. Your student will sign themselves out at the attendance office and meet you at your car.

Monday, May 1 - Academic Awards Night and National Decision Day (the deadline for seniors to pick their college- students recognized during lunch)
