Sunday, October 3-Newsletter for the Wilder Community
Welcome to Week 5!
Hello Team WMS!
Welcome to Rocktober! In case you missed it, our teachers and staff are amazing! This team is 100% student-focused, supportive and hard-working! Please be on the lookout for an email requesting donations to spoil our teachers this month. I know that I can count on our school community to show our team how much we value and appreciate them! Thank you for your support of our Rocktober Teacher Appreciation!
Thank you for reading this week's newsletter. Please be in touch with any questions or concerns!

Family Advocate News from Ms. Clarke....
Hello Wolverine Family!
The Wilder community is so fortunate to have two partners this year who want to assist our students with weekend snacks and meals. Thanks to Anointed New Life Baptist Church and St. Andrews UMC, beginning in November, we will be able to offer Wolverine Weekend Kits! These kits will be available on a limited basis and are dependent upon community donations. For more information and to request a Wolverine Weekend Kit when they are available, please read and complete this brief form: http://tiny.cc/wmsweekendkit
Guardians must approve that their scholar is allowed to receive a Weekend Kit prior to receiving one. If you’d like to assist with filling our Community Closet with donations to help make these kits available, check out our Amazon wish list for shopping ideas: http://tiny.cc/wmswishlist
For questions, more information, or if you need additional assistance, contact Mrs. Clarke at: cvtclarke@henrico.k12.va.us or (804) 335-7088-call or text.

Attendance
It is important that students attend school each day and arrive on time to ensure they are receiving all of their instruction. Please see below for important information regarding attendance.
· School starts at 8:05 each day. Students are considered tardy if they arrive at 8:30 or later.
· Notify the school by calling the front office at (804) 515-1100 if your child will be absent from school. If we are not notified of an absence, your child will be marked absent unexcused automatically.
· Our attendance team regularly monitors student attendance. Families of students with five or more unexcused absences will be required to meet to develop a support plan for attendance.
· If there is anything we can do to support your efforts in making sure your child is at school every day, please reach out to your child’s school counselor or our Family Advocate, Mrs. Clarke!
