Onekawa School Newsletter
Week 8, Term 4, Friday 3 December
Wow... only six sleeps to the end of the school year and sixteen sleeps till Santa arrives... exciting!
On Thursday evening I attended two special functions:
The first was a ceremony to celebrate those teachers in Napier who have gained full teacher registration and support staff who have gained new qualifications.
I wish to congratulate Mrs Rachael Smith and Mrs Kerena Davidson for their achievements that were recognised at this ceremony. Rachael has successfully gained her full teacher registration and Kerena has completed a Diploma for Education Support Workers from Massey University. Congratulations to you both!
The second function I attended last night was the Year 6 leaver's dinner. Following the dinner, we presented leaving certificates to our children. I'm so proud of our Year 6 students; they have been wonderful role models for our younger children. I look forward to hearing of their successes in the coming years.
Thanks so much to Sarah Knight and the amazing Team Pipi for organising and hosting the leavers dinner last night. The children were treated to beautiful food and a stunning presentation of the hall. Your efforts made for a truly special evening!
Next week is the last of the school year. We finish at 12:30pm on Thursday 16 December. Our final newsletter will go out on this day.
Have a great weekend!

We have opted for one supplier next year (instead of the two) which is The Food Company. The Food Company delivers a yummy menu and we have been impressed with them since they joined us mid way through the year.
