Winthrop Partnership News
WU students should remain with you their entire time at IDES. They should not be left with a substitute teacher or another teacher at IDES. They should not supervise students or be in a situation where they are alone with students. *This is for safety.
Thank you to the host and mentor teachers for welcoming these Winthrop Students in your room!
From Nurse Keener:
Please continue to keep allergy precautions on your mind during your school day by talking with your class on an ongoing basis as to precautions for having an allergy aware classroom. Remember that our allergy students need to be having lunch with other students that have lunch items that contain no allergen foods. Also, keep in mind that anyone sending in a snack for the class needs to give you a 48 hour notice and the shared snack must contain an ingredient label. Let me know if you need any help.
I still need to see quite a few of the staff for your EpiPen demo. Remember to bring the course completion certificate with you for the "Medication Administration: Epinephrine Auto-Injectors". I do not need the certificate on the "Health Emergencies" Safe Schools video. The due date is 10/31/16.
Flu Shot Dates:
Piedmont Medical Center will be providing all district employees FREE flu shots again this year. They will hold four clinics at the schools listed below. No appointments necessary. Please see Keener to pick up the consent form and vaccine information sheet prior to the clinic. Forms will also be available at each clinic.
