MVLA Magazine
October 2022
Dear MVLA Community,
As we complete the month, we celebrate Homecoming, our first progress reports, and the college application season this October. The preparation our students receive from our stellar teachers and the support from our counselors and classified staff puts them in good standing as they prepare and complete their applications.
In this month's issue, we celebrate our Students of the Month, our successful MVLA Foundation Phone-a-Thon, and share district news. We are also pleased to share the recognition of Lauren Camarillo, MVHS teacher, as a California State Teacher of the Year. This comes on the heels of being named MVHS teacher of the year and then a Santa Clara County Teacher of the Year. As a state Teacher of the Year, she will work with other teachers nationwide to promote teaching, share her perspectives, and represent MVLAHSD.
We hope you enjoy this edition of MVLA Magazine. Your support of MVLA and our students is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Nellie Meyer
Superintendent MVLAHSD
