Outlander

by Diana Gabaldon

Poster and Review by Mrs. Wyatt

Outlander is the first book in a series of 8 (yeah, 8!!!) books about a woman who travels through time by walking through ancient standing stones. Standing stones have been around for centuries and no one is really sure how or who created them. Think Stonehenge. I recommend this book if you are interested in history, romance, and things that are unexplainable. The main character (or protagonist) Claire faces many challenges and surprises when she accidentally travels from the 1940s to the 1700s. Think about all the things she would miss; hot water, indoor plumbing, fast food, just to name a few. However, she also was able to see and experience things we cannot. I give this book and the others in the series 5 out of 5 stars!
