Greenawalt Library
June 2021 Newsletter
Welcome Back
Welcome to new and returning students.
The library's goal is to support students while they're pursuing their future careers here at Northwestern. We can do this by offering books and online resources for your research needs. We can do this by offering quiet study rooms you can sign up for. And we can do this by offering both group and personalized instruction sessions.
For group workshops, check the schedule below to see when they're coming up. For personalized library and writing lab sessions, we now offer a Bookings link. While you can still set up these meetings with email, you can also do it directly with our calendars.
We have good news! The library has relaxed the COVID protocols we've followed since we reopened in September. You can find those new rules and the schedule below. If there are any changes, we'll let you know by email and/or in future newsletters.
We are also welcoming a new Director of Library Services, Emily Waitz. Her photo and a short introduction are below so you'll recognize her while walking in the hallways.
As always, we also have some brief tutorials on how to use the library from off campus down below but don't be afraid to reach out for more personalized guidance.

- Study room caps have also been relaxed.
- Small study rooms hold 1-4 students.
- The two larger study rooms hold 3-6. At least 3 people should be using those larger study rooms. They're #8 and #9.
