Awards Day
On Friday, June 10th, we held our annual awards day program for the 5K-7th graders at 8:30am. 8th grade awards were presented on Thursday, June 9th.
Positive, Behavior, Interventions and Services (P.B.I.S) ~ These students were the Stone Bank Way Students for the 2015-2016 school Year. Whenever you see them or interact with them, they are always following the Stone Bank Way. They are Responsible, Respectful, and Ready all the time!!! They are leaders in our school and should be very proud of themselves!! This years winners are: 4K-2nd grade - Ty Carpenter, 3rd-5th grade - Howard Hughes, 6th-8th grade - Kjersti Warwick. Congratulations to all of you!

President's Award for Educational Excellence ~ The President's Education Awards Program, established by the U.S. Department of Education, recognizes and honors outstanding educational achievement. The criteria for this award requires that the student earn an A- average for their school career at Stone Bank School through the eighth grade. Those eighth grade students are ~ Kyah Bratz, Taylor Dahl, Sam Dziobkowski, Ashley Fenton, Treyson Fenton, Grace Gustafson, James Haase, Jordyn Hanacik, Cade Hanley, Marisa Heffern, Zoe Huntsberger, Noah James, Mollie Kellenberger, Eoin Kennedy, Annabelle Kline, Emma Kureck, Marissa Loniello, Mae Myers, Margaret Newman, Anna Oehmcke, Andrew Prange, Jessica Preisler, Sydnee Sagal, Olivia Schaul, Geoffrey Smith, Alivia Windisch, Zoe Zamiatala, Slade Zsohar.
President's Award for Educational Achievement ~ The criteria for this award is different from the above. It is given to those students who did not meet the criteria for the Excellence Award but showed tremendous growth and improvement and unusual commitment to learning through their school career at Stone Bank. Those eighth grade students are ~ Gabriella Flatt, Courtney Loniello, Matthew Umhoefer.
Northwestern University's Midwest Academic Talent Search ~ The following two student's participated in the NUMATS which is an out of level testing for students performing at or above 95% on other standardized tests. These students took the ACT or the Explore test this past year. These students outperformed many of their peers in this area. The award presentation for the Midwest will be next Fall at Northwestern University. Congratulations to Jackson Brunner and Cole Greco.
Mega Math Meet ~ The annual regional math meet held at Swallow School is attended by the Arrowhead Area schools. The Stone Bank 5th and 6th grade students proved to he highly competitive and easily took first place. This place earned them an invite to the State Mega Math Meet in Madison. This was a highly competitive meet run by all UW-Madison professors and teacher assistants. The Stone Bank 5th and 6th grade team took 4th place out of 21 schools. All the students did exceptionally well but one student, Cole Greco, took first place out of 168 students. Congratulations to the 5th grade students: Cole Greco, Myla Brunner, Olivia Smith, Jackson Brunner. 6th grade students: Kevin McNeil, Christopher Norcross, Fischer Luterbach, Aidan Jacobsen.
First in Math ~ FIM is a computer website that students are provided to practice the sic foundational skills - basic facts, decimals, fractions, integers, exponents and variables operations, and order of operations. The students earn points for each level they complete. 3rd place with 5,212 points goes to Carson Rutka, 2nd place with 6,103 points James Bakar and 1st place was awarded to Cameron Parsons with 8,409 points. Congratulations!!!
