Monday's From The Mesa # 4
Tuesday Edition Alta Mesa Parent Newsletter (4/14/2020)
Start of Online Learning
Alta Mesa Families,
I hope everyone had a restful and joy-filled Spring Break. We are now at the point where we are going to begin Online Learning. I know many, if not all, have been contacted by your child's teachers. If you haven't at this point it is imperative that you contact them via email or bloomz. Below is the Grade Level information, you will find email contact information and bloomz codes. Please use these to have a continued connection with your child's classroom teacher.
As we embark on our new platform for learning I am both excited and grateful. It is unquestionably a loss for our students to no longer be with us in the classroom. We miss them on a daily basis. I am grateful however that we live during a time that allows us to reach across the digital frontier to reach your students at home. We are able to take the measure asked of us and still provide for the needs of our students. Will it be perfect, probably not. We are all learning together as we walk this new road. But, to be able to have the capabilities to conduct schooling from a distance is remarkable. At the beginning of my teaching career, this would not have been possible. I am excited for us to learn and grow together. I have already seen teachers stretch themselves to learn new programs and ways of thinking. When we emerge on the other side of this global pandemic, and we will emerge, it will be all the better from these experiences.
Alta Mesa families, I once again reiterate that it is imperative that you connect with your child's teacher. A renewed partnership begins tomorrow between school and home. It is a partnership that exists during normal school time but is even more critical now. If there is anything you need help with please reach out to us. The office will still be closed, but our secretaries will be returning any message left on the school voicemail starting on April 14th. Below is a reminder of the things we need for online learning to occur.
4 Things We Need From You Prior To Online Learning
