Peachjar E-Flyers
Parents: please be reminded that LTISD is now using Peachjar, an innovative flyer management system that sends district- and school-approved digital flyers directly to parents via email. This ‘green’ initiative will save paper and reduce copy costs for our schools and community partners.
Please note, with the implementation of Peachjar, mass paper copies will no longer be provided to teachers or staff for distribution in elementary school Tuesday Folders. As a result, elementary school Tuesday Folders will be re-purposed to their original intended use—the dissemination of classroom materials such as reading logs, worksheets and other academic resources. All other non-instructional materials will be delivered electronically via Peachjar.
By default, all parents will be opted-in to the system. No action is required on your part. If you have children in more than one school, you will automatically receive digital flyers from each campus. Flyers will also be posted on each campus website, and flyers will also be accessible via the district's mobile app.
Should you have any questions or concerns about the use of Peachjar, please contact our Office of Community Programs via email or by phone at 512-533-6011.

Mile Run Volunteers Needed!
We will be running the timed Mile run on our new outdoor track during students PE class. We need about 10 parents per class to mark students as they complete a lap. Students must complete 8.5 laps to complete a mile. Parents stand and mark the masking tape on students shoulder as they pass, and when a student has completed 8 laps or 8 marks, they will come off the track at the half way mark where Mrs. Daniels and Coach Nelson will be recording names and times of the runners.
Students will be divided into two 20 minute races. We would appreciate your help if you could volunteer.

Morning Drop-Off Reminders
- There are student drop-off locations in the front and back of the building. Please do not drop-off in the back before 7:20. If you need to drop-off early, students can wait in the front foyer until the doors open.
- Students should not be let out of the car in the front parking lot. All students should be dropped-off in either of the car rider lines.
- Your child(ren) should be prepared to exit the vehicle, so we can keep the lines moving. If you need to assist your child(ren) in anyway, we ask that you park and walk your child(ren) to the crosswalk.
Thank you for your help in ensuring morning drop-off is safe and efficient for everyone!

PTO Purchase Spotlight
This month’s PTO Purchase Spotlight highlights Professional Development. The BCE PTO paid to send some of our fabulous upper grade teachers to the CAST Conference (Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching ) in Houston, TX just this past month in November. CAST is widely regarded as the largest and best regional science teachers meeting in all of the United States! At this conference, our teachers had access to more than 700 TEKS-aligned workshops (divided by grade level and subject area), STEM content, lesson plans, handouts for classrooms, and access to listen to some great keynote speakers! We know they came back with some great information to share and bring into our classrooms!
