Digital Citizenship Week
October 19-23, 2015
Digital Footprint
We are living in a very different time from when we grew up. Passing notes in class has been replaced with texting. Arguing in person has been replaced with trading angry tweets for the world to see. Taking pictures that have to be developed has been replaced with digital pictures that can be instantly shared on multiple social media platforms.
In the future, your "digital footprint" will carry far more weight than anything you might include on a resume. - Chris Betcher
A Trail of Digital Footprints
In honor of Digital Citizenship Week we want students to consider what their Digital Footprint says about them. What they put online is creating their footprint which will follow them for the rest of their lives. What do they want that footprint to say about them?
In advisory, give each student a Unicorn print and ask them to write down at least three things they want their Digital Footprint to say about them in ten years. Have student cut out their Unicorn print and bring them to The Hub for display.
Here is the link to the document for you to make copies or let us know and we can make copies for you.
