Mayfield High School Weekly Update
September 16, 2022
National Merit Semifinalists
I am excited to share that three of our seniors have been recognized as National Merit Semifinalists
Nationwide, 16,000 National Merit Semifinalists have been designated, representing less than 1 percent of the country’s high school seniors, Semifinalists are in the state's highest-scoring students on the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
Congratulations to Pranav Sompalle, Ashton South, and Mohammad Zoraiz. They will be moving on to the next round of the competition to be named as National Merit Finalists.

Homecoming Week Calendar of Events

Picture Day (Grades 9-11)
If your family would like to order pictures, please visit: www.ripchostudio.com and use the Password: 662mayhs .
Additionally, students may bring their payment and form included in the opening day packet to school on Sept. 28th. All students in grades 9-11 should be prepared to have their picture taken as this is needed for their I.D. and the yearbook.
Senior Picture Day
If a senior does not have an English class at Mayfield, they may stop by the auditorium during a free period to have their picture taken.
All students must have their portrait taken by MK Photography in order to be included in the Yearbook. We do not accept submissions from other photographers.
This is the only day for seniors to be photographed for free at the high school- there will be no make-up day. It will be the responsibility of seniors who do not have their pictures taken at school to contact MK Photography and set-up an appointment at their studio in Mentor, and families will be responsible for paying a sitting fee for this session.
Students should dress in attire that will look professional in the yearbook.
