Safety is a priority at PRCS

The safety of students and staff is one of the main priorities at PRCS. PTA Board Member, Adrienne Masi, and the safety team head up updating each classroom emergency bag to make sure it has all the necessary equipment in case of emergency. Going through the 50+ bags, the PTA ensures that each bag has fresh batteries, revised class lists, working flashlights, glowsticks, pens, waters, first aids kits and more. Huge thanks to the PTA for ensuring the safety of the PRCS community!

National Bullying Prevention Month is here!

October is nationally recognized as Bullying Prevention Month. Bullying is defined as repetitive aggressive behaviors among school-aged children that involve a real or perceived power imbalance. Research shows that bullying has detrimental effects on our physical and mental health. It also has a detrimental impact on academic performance and in the building of healthy social relationships. Just as the use of technology itself has evolved, so has the nature of bullying. Bullying through electronic communication is referred to as “cyberbullying.” Parents are encouraged to stay connected with their kids and monitor media usage. If you have concerns about your child’s safety, contact the school immediately. Working together with the school administration is key to reaching peaceful resolutions. Safety is our #1 priority. It is our goal to promote a safe learning environment for all students. Our ongoing efforts to promote kindness and inclusion are an everyday task. We encourage that you become agents of change. Promote kindness at home, in the classroom and in the community.
