Message from Administration
Thank you so much for a successful conference week!!!! Here are some of the emails I received about teachers:
"Our boys have been blessed to have them as teachers thus far. We are extremely thankful for the support and care they have given as the boys have adjusted well to Gwin Oaks."
"I felt like the teacher was very knowledgeable and she knows my child. I left feeling very confident about my child's year."
"She is amazing. He is not a writer, but after being with her, he's made so much progress in writing."
I had many more parents just pop by and tell me how happy they are too! I know the week is long and stressful, but please know that parents appreciate all you do for their kids. This week is an important week that helps us strengthen the relationship between home and school which is critical for continued success. On Monday, don't bother bringing your own breakfast... just stop by the mail room for a treat from the admin team to you! This is a small token of our appreciation for your hard work. :)
A few fun community events coming up...
These will be advertised soon, but wanted to give you a heads up.
- Brookwood Homecoming Parade is Friday, October 9th. It leaves Brookwood High School and goes through down Dogwood and Holly Brook. Bring the family! This event will be followed by the Homecoming game.

Instead of a school-day event, the pep rally will now be open to the community and will be held on Friday, October 29th at 6:30pm. More details soon! (This is the same night as our Bingo night, but I think that will be just fine.)
- Medieval Times Brookwood Night- The Brookwood Schools Foundation is hosting a night at Medieval Times for our community. Saturday, November 7th. A link to order tickets will be sent soon. Proceeds from each ticket will go back to the foundation.
