News and Updates From Room 2

What We Learned This Week

Reading – This week we read two pieces of text. The first, A Curve in the River is an excerpt from a chapter book. Julian needs his father’s help to solve a problem. The second, Slippery Siblings is a non-fiction piece about siblings who race bobsleds. We worked with vocabulary, answered questions using the text and used the text to find the characteristics of a good teammate.

Writing – We have finished up our "Small Moment" narratives and are getting ready to bind our stories into books. These should be coming home next week.

MathWe have finished up data and took our test today (it's a short chapter), Next week we will be reviewing 2-digit and 3-digit addition and subtraction.
