Lawrence Brook Weekly Update

Learn about the exciting news and events happening at LB!

October 10, 2022

Dear Lawrence Brook Elementary School Families:

Thank you for your support of our Week of Respect activities! It was wonderful to see the enthusiastic participation of so many students. Students learned steps they can take to promote kindness in our community such as being self-aware, communicating respectfully, and responding respectfully. Students also participated in an outdoor story walk of the book I Promise, and then brainstormed with their peers how they can carry the lessons they learned with them into the rest of the school year. This week truly emphasized how kind and respectful our LB students are, and I am sure the lessons and themes they explored will continue to resonate.

This week, students in grades 1 through 4 will participate in our annual Fire Safety Assemblies hosted by the East Brunswick Fire Department. Additionally, the Scholastic Book Fair begins on October 12 and Walk to School Day will take place on October 18. During the school day on October 18, students will participate in the PTA sponsored TALEWISE assembly, a fun, interactive and educational S.T.E.A.M. presentation.

Have a wonderful week, Lawrence Brook community!
