2020-2021 May 22, 2021
From The Principal
Words fail to express my deepest thanks and love to all of our parents, students, and staff for making 2020-2021 a special and meaningful year. Your partnership, kindness, understanding and support was instrumental in making this year so successful, despite the challenges.
For our sixth graders... I hope you always consider Collins your home. We will be cheering you on as you head to Knox and throughout your high school journey. The joy of knowing I will be able to see you cross the stage at graduation in 2027 fills my heart.
For our fifth graders... I am counting on you to be our leaders this coming school year. Through this school year you have grown so much. I believe this next year you will continue to grow and evolve into strong and capable young adults.
My thanks and love go out to each of you. I hope this summer brings us all rest and rejuvenation.
Wishing you all the best,

Nurse Kendall Updates:
If your child has medication in the clinic, please arrange with me to pick it up before the last day of school. Any medication that is left in the clinic will be discarded after May 26th. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 281-298-3809 to arrange pick up.
If your child received the Covid vaccine, please send me a copy of the vaccination card, and I can input the dates into the computer so that the dates will become part of your child’s school vaccination record. This could be useful in the future in case of an exposure or possible travel requirements.
All library books were due on May 14. If they did not get turned in, they can be turned in all next week.
If you need to pay for a lost book, please send a check with your student made out to Collins Intermediate for the exact amount. If the book is from a different school, please make the check out to that school and it will be sent to them. If you need to pay for a book online, please contact the librarian by email at email@example.com to set up the payment. There will be a handling fee added and it may take a few days to get it set up and processed.
If you have any questions about your student’s library account, please contact Mrs Willingham by email. All of your student’s checked out and lost books can be seen through the Destiny Discover app in the student’s SSO. Look in the account section once your student has logged in.
Next year’s Cobras can check out the Summer Reading Bingo activity on the Collins website. It’s located in the Library section.
