The Raptor Report
Mrs. Fleck Kindergarteners Are Gardeners
The boys and girls in Ms. Fleck's Kindergarten class planted these beautiful flowers out in the courtyard to help make Reeceville a little more beautiful! While we were planting the flowers, Donald said, "Now I know why we are in Kindergarten, so we can plant a garden!" We are going to make sure our flowers get plenty of water, air and sun! The boys and girls had a great time getting a little dirty!
Miss Horne's Class: The Luckies Class
Miss Horne's class might be the luckiest class. While enjoying the outdoors, each student was able to find a four leaf clover! They were so excited at their luck, they rushed into the main office to show Mrs. Celotto and Mr. Myers!
Calculating Area of Sporting Surfaces
Students in Miss Shaver's fifth-grade math class began Unit 8 this week! The focus is applications of measurement, computation, and graphing. We began with an engaging, real-world concept. The students had to use their math skills to find areas of playing surfaces for different sports and then they made a plan for an athletic center. Look out United Sports... the Coatesville kids have some new designs!
Celebrating Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week
Planting for Our Next Harvest
Reeceville's hydroponic garden is growing again! Many kindergarten-3rd grade classes helped plant 140 lettuce seeds in ragwool pods. Mrs. March & Mr. Scangarella's classes helped to clean out and refill the garden. Classes then returned to planting the seedlings into the hydroponic garden. There will be lots more lettuce to harvest in the beginning of June!
