Wylie Way, Unity Day, AND.... Canned Food Drive news from the FABULOUS Katie Ray!!
Wednesday, Oct. 3rd: This is our Wylie Way Follow Up Day. This is the day that the District Wylie Way Committee would like for everyone to do a quick review of our lessons from our big WW day. From what I heard, most of you did not finish the lessons from that day, so the agenda for the 3rd is to have everyone finish up your lessons. If you did finish, please let me know so that I can give you an additional lesson. The lessons will be completed during BearTime.
Wednesday, Oct 17th: As a district, we celebrate Unity Day. All staff and students will be wearing orange on this day. We are supposed to have the ability to order the district orange t-shirt, but the order information has not been sent out. Please feel free to wait or wear your own orange. The lesson for that day will be short and will be conducted during BearTime. I will be getting that lesson out to you shortly.
Week of October 22-26: The week will not only be the Canned Food Drive Kickoff, it is also Red Ribbon Week. There will be dress up days that combine the two themes. More info on the theme days within the next week.

Please don't forget to share your PLC agenda with both me and Tracy. We want to be prepared for conversation and support during this time each week.

Team Shout Outs and Smiles!!
THANK YOU for ALL of these SHOUT OUTS!! OUR team is the BESt!!!
Team SHOUT OUT!! Did you know that we have consistently completed dismissal before 3:00 for at least two weeks??? It may be 2:59, but we are getting kids loaded quickly and safely!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! The extra hands to load cars have been AWESOME!!
I want to shout out to Sally Powers. She is a team member that makes you proud. She not only shares her greatness and learning with her team to make our kiddos grow, but she shares it with the whole staff. She has really helped us dig through the confusing pieces of MAP to make a pretty picture that tells us exactly how to help kids. Way to go Sally!- Sherri Chuang
I want to shout out to Connie Lambert for going the extra mile this year to spearhead the creation of some great bulletin boards in our hallway to showcase Wylie Way traits, Hallway behavior, and new vocabulary. (It’s still in the works, but is going to be so great!)-Sherri Chuang
As for team – girl, I could not be luckier. Michele Gonzales is my planning partner in Math and she has great ideas. I feel I can help drive and fill in for our strugglers, since that is my experience. She is always positive and supportive – so freaking enthusiastic! I LOVE HER! -Janay McDowell
Cassie Padgett – she is the strongest soul, EVER. I know she has her own issues, but she will ALWAYS stop to explain and guide. -Janay McDowell
Tiffany Talbert – comic relief for sure. We got stories.
I couldn’t be more blessed. I really don’t know what you can use – or not. I just love my team. -Janay McDowell
I would like to brag on Mrs. Halligan! She recently organized the SCIENCE area, in bookroom with her daughter, and the new SCIENCE are ROCKS! It is organized and items are easily accessible! Thank you for helping us be able to find the necessary items for our FUN SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS! -Allison Ornelas
Sally Power -- THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking time away from your students to lead PLCs this week!! We ALL learned something new about MAP and how to ensure we are intentionally planning instruction for ALL students!! YOU.ARE.GREATNESS!!
