This morning, WES Skyped with Author Tamra Wight, who shared the first chapter in her fourth book with us. What a treat! Our next visit with her is scheduled for Wednesday, April 6. It will be another full day of reading celebrations, as the winner of our Nonfiction March Madness tournament will be announced in a school-wide assembly at 1:45!

I LOVE the Fenway and Hattie series! It's the perfect read aloud for grades two through five. I highly encourage you to check it out!
I know The Writing Strategies Book will have more ideas to support our work with Units of Study. It's full of anchor charts and mini lessons to support your writers!

Melissa Stewart is sending me an advanced copy of her next book, Can an Aardvark Bark? I can't wait to check it out and share it with all of you!
Orphan Island will be released in May, but I was able to get my hands on an advanced copy from my friend, Mellissa Guerrette. This book is already getting lots of buzz on Twitter! I can't wait to read it!
