We will be balancing equations this week. It is a very hard concept, please make sure your student is on top of their studies. Overlook your child's packet as it is the study guide for the TEST ON FRIDAY. This test will show your students mastery in physical and chemical changes and balancing equations. All assignments, extra help and powerpoint presentations will be posted on Schoology, the class website (sciencerocksthe8thgrade.weebly.com) and on Discovery Ed.

Math Updates
Math 8 is working on problem-solving with the geometry concepts of area (quick review), volume (prisms, cylinders, cones, pyramids, and spheres), and the Pythagorean Theorem. Math 1 will also review these concepts as well as continue working on linear functions and linear inequalities. All: Expect a Pythagorean quiz by Friday. Math 1 only: Corrections due Friday with retakes. (Signature and "No retake" written by parent if you are not doing the retake.)
ELA Updates
Students should continue to complete Word Wall activities and Reading Logs as assigned by their ELA teachers.
