Principal's Message
Hello Wildcat families,
Many of you are wondering whether changes are coming to our mask requirements. On Friday, October 22, Fulton County Schools shared a modified Mitigation Matrix to include local school data when making decisions about masking. Here is the information from the communication:
Beginning November 1, 2021, Dr. Looney announced he may waive masking for individual schools if the ratio of cases in a school remains less than .01 of enrollment. Thirty days following the expansion of vaccine eligibility for children five and older, masks will become optional for students, staff and visitors. At the present time, masks will still be mandated on buses. See Dr. Looney’s full presentation here.
Additionally, most recent Epidemiology Report from October 22 showed that Johns Creek was below 100 per 100,000 (99.2). Our district requires two consecutive reports showing numbers below 100 to go to mask optional. We expect another report to come out today. If we are once again below 100 cases per 100,000 people, the district will provide direction for when masks will become optional. We will wait for this guidance from the district. For now, we are still under a mask mandate.
I know this doesn't tell you exactly what to expect moving forward. I will communicate directly with you as soon as I know more.
All the best,
Stephanie Haga

Volunteer of the Month
Natasha has been at every PTO event since I arrived earlier this year. She helped with the teacher luncheon before school started, sold PTO memberships and Spirit Wear during Sneak Preview, helped plan our first annual Back to School Picnic and also supported Movie Night. In addition to these public roles, Natasha also comes and does the much less glorious work like making copies and organizing the lost and found. Whatever we need doing, Natasha is always there. I appreciate her positive attitude and willing smile.
Thank you Natasha Nagpal! Please come by the schools, we have some gifts for you.

Food Drive coming in November
The Girl Scout Troops of Wilson Creek, with support from our PTO, will be hosting a food drive between Monday, November 8 and Monday, November 15 to benefit North Fulton Community Charities. NFCC’s mission is to help ease hardship and foster financial stability in our community. Each year the agency serves close to 10,000 individuals with emergency need in the cities of Alpharetta, Johns Creek, Milton, Mountain Park and Roswell.
Below is a list of the most needed items for the NFCC food bank. Please keep this in mind and maybe pick up a few extras when you do your grocery shopping in the next couple of weeks.
Thanksgiving Food Drive Non-Perishable Donations:
Corn
Greens (not green beans) but collard, spinach, etc.
Sweet potatoes/yams
Dry potatoes/all types
Rice/1 pound bags
Macaroni and cheese/individual sizes too
Baking mixes such as cakes, biscuits, brownies, pies, corn bread
Canned fruit all types
Snacks
Soups
Did you know? NFCC’s annual holiday program serves over 900 families and 1,800 children. Thank you in advance for your contributions as our community rallies to provide bountiful meals to those who need it most.
Providing food is the first line of defense for someone struggling financially – using the Food Pantry frees up money to pay rent, utilities, transportation or an unexpected expense.
Hospitality is a blessing - whether you are the host or the guest. Each year this community rallies to provide a bountiful meal to those who need it most. It is the gift of coming together to enjoy each other's company, even in the midst of crisis.
