Covid-19 & School Closure Information - Volume 3
#WildcatPride
Although your Spring Break may not have been what you planned, I hope that you all had an opportunity to enjoy time spent with family, without the added pressure of school work. We know the adjustment this past month has been a challenge for everyone, as we are living it ourselves. These are indeed strange times! I'm sure you all have heard by now that Contra Costa County schools will remain 'closed' for the duration of the school year. Of course, everyone's safety is of utmost priority, but we sure do miss our Wildcats, and were disappointed to hear the news.
We will continue to work on trying to connect with all of our families and engaging students with daily remote learning opportunities. Please be sure to communicate directly with your child(ren)'s teachers with your questions, concerns, or suggestions. Each household has its own unique dynamics, and individual students are responding to this 'new normal' in very different ways, so it is crucial that we work together to ensure everyone's needs are being met to the best of our ability. Click here to find information about how to connect with the teachers and other support providers.
We continue to be inspired by the pride demonstrated by our Wildcats during our 2 neighborhood parades. A 3rd parade is scheduled for this Friday, 4/17. The time and route will be shared by Thursday afternoon. We encourage families to step outside and join us (while practicing 'physical distancing', of course). You may also show your pride by placing a Wildcat (photo, stuffy) or Westwood logo in your window. Of course, we love seeing your own home-made signs! We hope to see you on Friday!
