BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHTS
Over the last two weeks, several schools held Back To School Nights, including Rose Ferrero School, Gabilan School, Soledad High School, Soledad Virtual Academy and Main Street Middle School. It has been great to be able to be in-person with events after two years of holding them remotely. Back to School nights have included Title 1 presentations to parents, describing programs and services to support students and families.
SOLEDAD HIGH SCHOOL CLUB FAIR
On August 26, Soledad H.S. held their annual Club Fair. Dozens of student clubs including several new clubs set up tables at lunch and signed up students to join.
MAIN STREET MIDDLE SCHOOL PBIS RECOGNITION
The California PBIS Coalition announced that it is recognizing Main Street Middle School of the Soledad Unified School District for successful PBIS implementation at the PLATINUM level. This recognition reflects MSMS’s excellence in the implementation of the core features of PBIS.
Special Joint Meeting with the Soledad City Council and School Board
City of Soledad Internship Program
The Soledad Unified School District wishes to thank the City of Soledad for hosting seven high school student interns this summer. The students interned in Public Works, Informational Technology, Economic Development and Community Engagement.
The Student Interns were recognized at the joint Soledad City Council / Soledad Unified School District Board of Trustees meeting on August 31. Student interns spoke to the City Council and School Board about their experiences. Congratulations!
Soledad Swim Team
Soledad USD Teacher-Staff Housing Project. The project will be going before the Soledad Planning Commission for approval September 7th. It is Happening in Soledad!
